Ingredients of Custard Powder Cake
- Prepare 3/4 cup of all purpose flour.
- You need 11/8 teaspoon of baking powder.
- You need 1/4 cup of +2 tbsp custard powder- any flavour.
- Prepare 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
- Prepare 80 gm of soft unsalted butter.
- Prepare 1/2 cup of full fat milk - room temperature.
- It's 1/8 teaspoon of salt.
- It's 1/4 cup+2tbsp of sugar.
Custard Powder Cake step by step
- Preheat oven to 180 and line cake tin.
- Sieve flour, baking powder, salt and custard powder in a bowl and keep it aside.
- Blend butter and sugar in a bowl for 3-4 minutes.
- Add dry ingredients and milk alternative and gradually. Blend well. Add vanilla extract and blend.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and level evenly.
- Bake for 25-35 minutes until done. Allow to cool for 30 minutes. Demould and cool completely.
- You can dust with icing sugar and serve or Frost it. For me any custard is incomplete without whipped cream or ice-cream so I frosted the cake. Slice and serve.
